Dr. Amena, MD is graduate of Arabian Gulf University school of medicine, in Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Amena trained at the Hamad general hospital, where she completes her internship and then complete her residency in pediatric department.

Grace Leeuwen

About the Physician

Dr. van Leeuwen is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar and has over 15 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care. She is a Senior Attending in Sidra Medicine's Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, joining in May 2019. She is also a member of the ethics committee and is responsible for the Neonatal and Pediatric ECMO transport program.

Diana Bernal Quintero

About the Physician

Dr. Diana Bernal Quintero has been a consultant Pediatric and Fetal Cardiologist at Sidra Medicine since 2022.

Before this, she spent 13 years in the U.K., where she completed her specialist training in pediatric cardiology.  Her training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital in London, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford)

Najla Wehbe

About the Physician

Dr. Najla Wehbe joined Sidra Medicine in November 2021 as an attending physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine. As a pediatric emergency physician, she evaluates and treats medical and surgical emergencies in acutely ill patients. Prior to working at Sidra Medicine, Dr. Wehbe worked as a pediatric Emergency Physician in Tawam Hospital, Alain Abu Dhabi.

Maria Bashir Ibrahim

About the Physician

Dr. Maria Mohammed joined Sidra Medicine in December 2017 as a Hospital Neonatologist. Before this, she was a senior registrar at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin.

Dr. Mohammed trained in Pediatrics and Neonatology in the Republic of Ireland.

Bouthayna Al-Tamimi

About the Physician

Dr. Al-Tamimi is a Cleft and Craniofacial Consultant Orthodontist specializing in complex orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics. She qualified from the prestigious King’s College London and then commenced her post-graduate specialist training in Orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital. She simultaneously completed a Masters in Orthodontics from King’s College London as well as her Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. 

Muna Maarafiya

Dr. Muna Maarafiya is a Pediatric Pulmonology Senior Attending Physician and the Medical Director for Sleep Medicine at SIDRA Medicine, Doha – State of Qatar. She obtained her medical degree from King Saud University in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She finished her residency and fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). She then pursued her training specialization in Pediatrics Sleep Medicine and Cystic Fibrosis at Kosair Children’s Hospital Research Institute, Louisville – USA.

Amrita Sarpal

Dr. Sarpal joined Sidra Medicine in February 2019 as a senior attending pediatric critical care physician with dual training in pediatric critical care and pediatric palliative care. She worked previously at the University of Western Ontario, where she had been a practicing pediatric intensivist for approximately six years.

Raghda Yahya

Dr. Raghda Yahya has been a consultant general pediatrician at Sidra Medicine since 2021. Before this, she spent 11 years as a consultant pediatrician at King Fahad Specialist Hospital-Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a general pediatrician, Dr. Yahya treats all types of illnesses and helps parents manage their children’s chronic diseases. She enjoys spending time with her patients and their families in inpatient and outpatient settings, striving to create meaningful and therapeutic relationships.
