Dr Deepa is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Sidra Medicine. She is a member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and worked as a consultant at Lancaster, UK prior to joining Sidra. She has completed advanced training in labor ward practice and high risk Obstetrics. She leads the activities to ensure that the pathways for women attending the Women’s Obstetric emergency department are coordinated safely by working closely with the multidisciplinary clinical team.

Education Lead & Senior Attending Physician

Dr. Barbara Blackie is the Education Lead and a Senior Attending Physician for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Sidra, providing faculty development and overseeing the education plan for the large multinational group of physicians and nurse practitioners who will open the Sidra Emergency Department. She is a Master Trainer for the TeamSTEPPS program at Sidra. Barbara is very active in the CME/CPD processes at Sidra, and sat on the CME/CPD Committee for 3 years.

Dr. Bout-Tabaku is Division Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology. She practiced at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, USA for 8 years. She was a portfolio coach/mentor for medical students at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Her research focused on the effects of obesity on the musculoskeletal system, specifically on pain, function and performance.

Dr. Asghar is a Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist providing clinical care to children and adolescents in inpatient and emergency department at Sidra Medicine.  

Dr Nimra Amir H K Dad has worked at Sidra Medicine since 2019. She is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She leads the activities that ensure the pathways for women undergoing both Obstetric and Gynecological surgery are coordinated safely, working closely within a multidisciplinary clinical team. As an experienced gynecologic surgeon and obstetrician, she supports women with Gynecological surgical needs as well as those pregnant patients with more complex pregnancies.

Attending Physician

Dr. Wesam Almasri is a Pediatric Gastroenterology Attending physician.

Dr. Almasri is Arab Board certified in Pediatrics and completed her fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Hamad General Hospital, Qatar.

Dr. Almasri has special interest in pediatric liver diseases and running a joint clinic with the liver team. She is also a member of the Celiac Team at Sidra helping to raise awareness to better manage the syndrome for patients in Qatar.

About Syeda

Dr. Syeda Monazza Ali is a lead perinatal psychiatrist for outpatient service at Sidra Medicine. She is Director of Residency Training in Perinatal Psychiatry. She also holds the academic appointment of Clinical Instructor in Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr Monazza has special interests in mood disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis and other perinatal issues. She has presented nationally and internationally. She is member of WPA Scientific Section of Women’s Mental Health.
