Aicha Rifai

About the Physician

Dr. Aicha Rifai is a member of the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar (WCM-Q) who volunteers weekly to see patients at the Women's' Psychiatry Clinic at Sidra Medicine.

She is the director of the medical students' clerkship in Psychiatry at WCMQ and is active in education, administration, and research. She is American Board certified in Psychiatry and in Internal Medicine.

Her areas of interest are Women Mental Health, Students Mental Health, and the application of the Humanities in Medicine.

Nelli El-Ghazal

About the Physician

Dr. Nelli El-Ghazal obtained her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University. She is a Child and Adolescent Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to joining Sidra, she worked in the school system and was part of a private practice in the United States.

Amina Kamal

About the Physician

Amina Kamal, MSc, is a Clinical Psychologist working in the Women’s Mental Health Service at Sidra Medicine, in her clinical practice, she delivers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments in Arabic and English, to women during their perinatal period, with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, and relationship problems.

Alia Satti

About the Physician

Dr. Alia Satti is an Attending Physician specialized in Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine at Sidra Medicine. She joined the organization in 2019.

In her role, Dr. Satti collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage children from birth to 18 years old who experience communication, social, intellectual, learning and  behavioral challenges and mobility impairment.

Varsha Mulik

About the Physician

Dr Varsha Mulik is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist with 25 years of experience and working as Senior attending Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sidra Medicine since 2017, she was interim lead for Quality, patient safety till Feb 2022. Currently she is chairman of adult guidelines committee and involved in patient safety, JCI.

Durre Shahwar

About the Physician

Dr. Durre Shahwar has been working as Consultant Psychiatrist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services at Sidra medicine, Doha, Qatar, since 2018.

Dr. Shahwar completed Medical Graduation in 1996 from Khyber Medical College Pakistan and practiced General Medicine. She moved to UK in 2005, gained experience in various specialties, including Substance misuse, General Adult and Elderly Psychiatry and completed consultant training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry.

Roona Aniapravan

About the Physician

Dr Roona Aniapravan joined Sidra Medicine in December 2017 and has been working as an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency. She is the Program Director for PEM Fellows and Residents. Dr Roona was the Sepsis Lead for Pediatric Emergency and member of Pediatric Emergency and Hospital Guideline Committee.

Patricia Abboud

About the Physician

Dr. Abboud joined Sidra Medicine in December 2017 as a Senior Attending physician in Pediatric Critical Care. Her administrative responsibilities include her role as the Medical Director for the PICU and Lead for pediatric critical care transports. Her practice is to care for children with unstable or life-threatening conditions.
