Dr. Rachdan is an Ophthalmic Surgeon at Sidra Medicine with a wide clinical experience complemented with a dual Subspecialty Fellowship Training in Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Hospital for Sick Children, “Sick Kids”, Toronto, Canada) and Cornea and Anterior Segments at (Birmingham, United Kingdom).
About the Physician
Dr Ibrahim Joined Sidra as a Senior Attending Physician in Endocrinology in May 2017 and is currently the lead for Diabetes in pregnancy in the Hospital. He has vast experience in managing All endocrine conditions, including thyroid disorders, calcium and osteoporosis, pituitary disorders, prolactin, and reproductive Endocrinology. He has a special interest in Obesity and weight management and the role of new technology in the management of Diabetes and set up new services in Sidra Medicine.

Dr. Erdener Ozer is the new Division Chief of Anatomical Pathology, having joined Sidra Medicine in 2021. He is also a senior attending physician managing digital pathology reporting service.
Prior to joining Sidra, Dr. Ozer worked at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital in Turkey as a consultant. He has also held full time professor positions in the School of Medicine where he taught medical students, and in the Institute of Health Sciences, where he supervised PhD candidates.

Dr. Fawzi is a senior attending physician in pediatric neurology at Sidra Medicine and Hamad Hospital. He also serves as an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar.
Previously, Dr. Mahmoud worked as a consultant in pediatric neurology at Hamad Hospital from 2006 until 2017. He then joined Sidra Medicine as a senior attending physician in pediatric neurology.
He specializes in treating patients with muscle disease, multiple sclerosis, and tuberous sclerosis.
About Sami
Dr. Sami Omer obtained his medical degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan in 1996. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Health from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany in 2002. Dr. Omer completed his Psychiatry training in the Republic of Ireland. In 2006 he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK and received a certificate of completion of specialist training in General Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry from the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland in 2011.

Dr. Mosharraf joined Sidra Medicine in March 2018 as a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Hospitalist and has worked as an Attending Physician in Pediatric Critical Care since August 2019.
Dr Santiago Vallasciani is the Division Chief of Urology in Sidra Medicine, Dr Santiago joined the team in 2018 as Senior Attending Physician. He was formerly the Chief of Pediatric Urology Division in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After his graduation in the Medical School in Argentina, Dr Vallasciani moved to Italy where he developed his career in Pediatric Urology as subspeciality of Pediatric Surgery.
