Dr. Ikram Haque is the Division Chief of Critical Care and a Senior Attending Physician at Sidra Medicine, joining in January 2018 and leading the division to develop a pediatric critical care program of excellence in Qatar. Dr. Haque is American Board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He previously served at the University of Texas Health in Houston, Texas, USA, as the Professor of Pediatrics, Division Chief, and Fellowship Program Director of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

Chief, Pediatric Infectious Disease 

Dr. Mohammad Janahi received his MBBS degree from King Faisal University of Saudi Arabia and his residency training in 1993-1996 at St. Luke's and Roosevelt hospital in New York, USA, then fellowship training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey, USA from 1996-1999. In 1997, Dr. Janahi obtained his American Board of Pediatrics.

Andres Perez Lopez

About the Physician

Dr. Andrés Pérez-López has been a Senior Attending Physician in Microbiology at Sidra Medicine since 2017.  Before joining Sidra Medicine, Dr. Pérez-López worked as a Consultant Microbiologist and Infection Control Doctor for five years for the National Health Service in England and Scotland. Previously, he worked as a consultant pediatrician and lead clinician for pediatric infectious diseases for nine years at Manacor Hospital in Spain.

Amira Mustafa

About the Physician

Dr Amira Mustafa is a Senior Attending Physician at Sidra Medicine. She joined the hospital in 2017.

Dr Mustafa specializes in taking care of acute general pediatric problems as well chronic and complex conditions both at the inpatient and outpatient setting. Her fields of interest include respiratory, gastrointestinal, kidney, growth and neurodevelopmental problems in all children.

Madeeha Kamal

Dr Madeeha Kamal Sr. Attending Pediatrician at Sidra Medicine, she looks after teenagers with behavioral problems, (mild cases of  aggression, depression, anxiety ) Adolescents with eating disorder , with ADHD Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ASD Autism Spectrum Disorder , cases with Learning disability as well as intellectual disability

Abubakr Imam

About Abubakr

Joined the faculty at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University in 2001 as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and became the Director of Renal Transplantation Program form 2003-2006. Then joined the faculty of Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio as an Associate Professor and the Division Chief of Nephrology & Hypertension from 2006-2009. Moved to the Middle East as the Head Section of Nephrology at King Fahad Medical City in the Kingdome of Saudi Arabia from 2009-2012.

Hesham Al Saloos

About the Physician

Dr. Hesham is the division chief of Cardiology and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, WQMC-Qatar.

He did his Pediatric residency and core Cardiology fellowship in Canada and Interventional Cardiology fellowship in New Zealand.

He joined Sidra Medicine in late 2019 where he was appointed as a senior attending Interventional Cardiologist.

Dr. Brisseau is a cutting edge pediatric general and thoracic surgeon as well as an acclaimed surgical educator. He is a board certified general surgeon as well as a pediatric surgeon. These dual boards are held in two countries , USA and Canada. Having practiced in both countries he brings this clinical expertise to Doha at the Sidra Medical and Research Center.
