She moved to UK in 2005, gained experience in various specialties, including Substance misuse, General Adult and Elderly Psychiatry and completed consultant training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry.

Dr. Dilawar is a Pediatric Cardiologist who joined Sidra Medicine Heart Center in November 2017 as a Senior Attending Pediatric Cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.

His clinical responsibilities include outpatient clinical service and inpatient service, i.e., covering the cardiology floor, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care and Cardiac Intensive Care Units, and Emergency Department coverage. He also reads ECGs and transthoracic, trans-esophageal, and epicardial echocardiograms.

Dr Roona Aniapravan joined Sidra Medicine in December 2017 and has been working as an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency. She is the Program Director for PEM Fellows and Residents. Dr Roona was the Sepsis Lead for Pediatric Emergency and member of Pediatric Emergency and Hospital Guideline Committee.

Dr. Ramaswamy is an anesthesiologist specializing in pain relief during labor and providing safe anesthesia for surgery. Safety and patient comfort are his priority. He has more than 20 years’ experience and trained in Oxford and India. Dr. Ramaswamy joined Sidra Medicine in October 2017 and was part of the team that helped open the hospital safely. Dr. Ramaswamy frequently receives excellent feedback from patients and staff.

Dr. Duraiswami graduated from the University of Madras, one of the oldest premier universities in India and started his career in Anesthesiology and Critical Care. After obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Anesthesiology, he moved to the Sultanate of Oman.

Dr Ibrahim Joined Sidra as a Senior Attending Physician in Endocrinology in May 2017 and is currently the lead for Diabetes in pregnancy in the Hospital. He has vast experience in managing All endocrine conditions, including thyroid disorders, calcium and osteoporosis, pituitary disorders, prolactin, and reproductive Endocrinology. He has a special interest in Obesity and weight management and the role of new technology in the management of Diabetes and set up new services in Sidra Medicine.

Dr. Mohamed is a Senior Attending Physician, Division of Neurology, Sidra and a Clinical Assistant Professor, WCM-Qatar.

About Sami

Dr. Sami Omer obtained his medical degree from the University of Khartoum in Sudan in 1996. He obtained a Master’s degree in International Health from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany in 2002. Dr. Omer completed his Psychiatry training in the Republic of Ireland. In 2006 he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK and received a certificate of completion of specialist training in General Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry from the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland in 2011.
