Omair Syed

About the Physician

Dr Omair Mohammed Syed is an Attending Physician in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He joined Sidra Medicine in September 2022.
As an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Syed specializes in Pediatric trauma, Point of Care ultrasound, life support, pediatric sedation, pediatric airways and regional nerve blocks.

Before moving to Qatar, Dr. Syed was the Lead Consultant of the Pediatric Emergency Department and Lead Consultant for Point of Care Ultrasound. He is a faculty on the Cambridge Ultrasound course accredited by the RCEM, UK.

Jauro Kuna Gaji

About the Physician

Dr. Jauro Kuna Gaji joined Sidra Medicine in September 2017 as a Senior Attending Physician in Neonatology.

He cares for babies with complex problems ranging from extreme prematurity, surgical problems, and congenital anomalies as part of a multidisciplinary Team.

He also follows up with babies and infants at high risk of developmental problems in the Outpatient Clinic (High-Risk Infant Follow-up Clinic) as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Waseemoddin Patel

About the Physician

Dr. Waseemoddin Patel has been a Hospital Neonatologist at Sidra Medicine since June 2022. Before joining, he worked as a neonatologist in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He completed his MBBS, MD (Pediatrics) in 2011 from India and MRCPCH (UK) in 2015. He received his training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at McMaster University, Canada (2018-2020).

Pankaj Sakhuja

About the Physician

Dr. Sakhuja has over ten years of experience as a Neonatal consultant. He joined Sidra Medicine in November 2022 after serving in UK hospitals like Great Ormond Street and University College London Hospital.

With a passion for neonatal intensive care, his career spans over 20 years in various centers of excellence, including Singapore, Australia, the U.K., Canada, and Bahrain.

Diana Bernal Quintero

About the Physician

Dr. Diana Bernal Quintero has been a consultant Pediatric and Fetal Cardiologist at Sidra Medicine since 2022.

Before this, she spent 13 years in the U.K., where she completed her specialist training in pediatric cardiology.  Her training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital in London, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford)

Srinath Krishnappa

About the Physician

Dr. Srinath B Krishnappa joined Sidra Medicine as a Neonatal Hospitalist in 2020. He manages all types of neonatal illnesses, including extremely premature babies and infants with surgical and cardiac needs, among others.  He has a special interest in neonatal hemodynamics and has recently joined the Newborn hemodynamic group in the NICU after completing the QNiCHE functional echo training program.

Narasimhan Raju

About the Physician

Dr. Narasimhan Raju joined Sidra Medicine in June 2023 as a Senior Attending Physician in Neonatology. Prior to that, he was a Consultant Neonatologist at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, UK, for 15 years and as a Clinical Director at the same hospital for the previous five years. As a Neonatologist, he has extensive experience managing critically ill babies, helping them get better, and supporting the families throughout their stay in the neonatal unit.

Maria Bashir Ibrahim

About the Physician

Dr. Maria Mohammed joined Sidra Medicine in December 2017 as a Hospital Neonatologist. Before this, she was a senior registrar at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin.

Dr. Mohammed trained in Pediatrics and Neonatology in the Republic of Ireland.

Phani Kiran Yajamanyam

About the Physician

Dr. Phani Kiran Yajamanyam completed training in Pediatrics in the UK and specialized in the field of Neonatology. He was awarded the certificate of completion of training in Neonatal-perinatal medicine in 2014 and subsequently became a fellow of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health in 2016.

Naveed Durrani

About the Physician

Dr. Naveed Durrani has been a Hospital Neonatologist at Sidra Medicine since 2019. Before this, he received his training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at McMaster University, Canada. As a Neonatologist, he cares for sick newborns with surgical and medical needs at Sidra Medicine. Dr. Durrani treats and manage all types of illnesses in newborn and helps parents during their difficult time in the NICU.
